April 30 is the celebration day started by Pat Mora, children's author to honor families and books. It is a an extension of El Dia de los ninos from Mexico.

Children from Robert Reid Elementary School and EWU Children's Center enjoyed the day with small groups sharing books, rhymes and activities in Spanish or English
